  • 2. Appliances – Electronics & Energy About ENERGY STAR  ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through energy efficiency.
  • 3. Appliances – Electronics & Energy About ENERGY STAR Devices carrying the Energy Star mark, such as computer products and peripherals, kitchen appliances, buildings and other products, generally use 20%–30% less energy than required by federal standards
  • 4. Appliances – Electronics & Energy About ENERGY STAR Greenhouse Gas Reduction  Energy use in homes, buildings, and industry account for two thirds of greenhouse gas emissions.  ENERGY STAR has been important in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S.
