About I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Marine Science at UCONN. While I was a student at UCONN, I was a research technician in the Fish Biology Department. My field work was electrofishing in the CT River to research the eating habits of striped bass during the Blueback River Herring’s spawning period in the summers. I also worked in the lab aging the fish by their scales and otoliths, analyzing diet samples, compiling lipid concentrations, and more. In addition, I did research at Avery Point investigating the predator Blackfish impact on green crabs and the invasive Asian Shoreline Crab.
