  2. 2. Key language<br />“ they sent me a salwar kameez peacock-blue. And another glistering like an orange split open. Embossed slippers, gold and black points curling. Candy-stripped glass bangles.<br />In this stanza it makes the girl feel new to Pakistani culture it makes her feel exotic,colourful,brand new and beautiful. <br />
  3. 3. Trouble<br />On stanza 1 it says “Candy-striped glass bangles snapped, drew blood.”<br />She’s describing the bangles but when she wears it snaps and causes pain an rejection <br />
  4. 4. “I longed for denim and coulduroy”<br />Its more of a British culture it moves Pakistani culture away from this response. The colour makes her dull makes her look dark and deep unlike Pakistani clothes there&apos;s a lot of exotic colours .<br />
