OBJECTIVES : – The main objective of the system is to make the Traffic system safe – To make the people to follow the traffic rules – To reduce the Accidents that are cause because of entering under construction area – To reduce the vehicles crimes like – Bomb blast – Terrorist attacks – Bank Robbery – To save the energy that is wasted on the street lamps when there is no one on the street Traffic And Vehicle Safety System

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Description of Present Traffic System and Their limitation : – There are Traffic control system that monitor the speed of vehicles – The system only monitor the vehicles that they are following the traffic rules or not – The monitoring is done with the help of few sensors and cameras – Limitation of Present Traffic System – The sensors and cameras that are used are affected by the environment – The Traffic system are limited to monitoring , they do not contribute any penalizing action against the Offenders – Such system required high maintenance – Such system don’t have any control over the identity of the vehicle Driver – Such system are limited to informs the cops that the particular vehicle has cross the speed limit or violate the traffic signal

Answer is Here….. – The system Monitor the vehicles along with the Driver – The system Panelize those who violate the Traffic rules – The system monitors and stores the history of each vehicle / Driver for further assistance – The traffic control system not only inform regarding the emergency situation but also protect the Driver from being getting Accident – And over all the vehicle and traffic coordinating system don’t require cameras and other external device so it don’t require more maintenance – The system also sense the Traffic on the Street and manage the Traffic signal and the street lights to save the energy that is being wasted

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Developed Innovation : – Vehicle and Traffic coordinating system will work in two section: – 1st Section consist of a device name as – Access control device – Access control device will be install in every vehicle – 2nd Section Consist of a Unit named as – Control Unit – The Control Unit will be a system that will be with Traffic Police

What is Control Unit? – The Control Unit will be with Traffic police – The Control Unit will consist – Mater Control Unit – The Master control unit will send the obtain information from the ACD to all the Unit Listed below – Speed Control Unit – The speed Control Unit will check the Obtain Data and to find either any vehicle has crosses the speed limit – Data Base – The Data base will keep the Driving Record of all the vehicles regarding license no. of the user , License issuing officer name ,Travelling record of vehicles – Traffic Control Unit – Traffic control unit will also check the obtain Data to find either any vehicle break the Traffic signal , It also check the Traffic intensity and adjust the Traffic signal – Street Power Control unit – Street power control unit check the vehicles near the street lamps and if it found no vehicle on the street the system make the street light dim Traffic And Vehicle Safety System

What is Access control Device (ACD) ? – The Access control Device will be install in every Vehicle – The Access Control Device will consist – Digital Touch Screen Display – The display device will be used to do display the message obtain from the Control Unit – Biometric verification module – The Biometric Verification module will be use for the verification of Users – License Verification slot – The license slot will be there to Insert the license card and start the vehicle – GPS Receiver – The GPS Receiver will track the vehicle speed , location , distance travel etc. – Receiver and Transmitter pair – The Receiver and Transmitter pair will be used to Receive the Control Signal from the control unit and Transmit the vehicle travelling record to the control unit Traffic And Vehicle Safety System

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Under The Vehicle And Traffic Coordinating system : – To Start a vehicle The driver will need to insert his own license In the ACD – The ACD will first check either the license is authorized by the owner to drive his vehicle if it not it will reject the license – If the license card is authorized then – The ACD will Copy the license No, and will send the license no, to control unit – Then the control unit check the Previous Driving record by checking the license no, in the Data Base – If there is any rule violation found in the data base on any particular license no, the control unit message the vehicle to display a message to the driver To contact the Control station and pay the fine

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System – If there is no rule violation found then – The Control Unit will send a signal to the Vehicle ACD to Ask for the Biometric verification if verified – Then the control unit then ask to enter the pin code if the pin is verified – Then the control unit send a control signal to the ACD to take the license , which complete the connection and the vehicle start – So, This is how the connection between the Vehicle and the control unit will establish and there will be no requirement of cameras and other expensive devices

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Impact Of Vehicle And Traffic Coordinating System: – Impact On Road Crimes : – The control system consist of a Data base which keep the Driving record of all the vehicles ex. Time of travel , Location , it will also keep the record of that vehicle which has violated the rules – Impact on Bomb Blast using Vehicle : – In any case if there is a Bomb blast in an Area , we can easily find out the vehicle in which Bomb was placed by checking the Data base regarding the vehicle that were in that area during the time of Blast and can find the owner of the vehicle – Impact on Terrorist Attack : If it is found that there are Terrorist in any area we can make the vehicle disable of that area by checking the Data Base , the control unit with the help of License Control unit will send a control signal to the vehicles ACD So the all the vehicle of that Area will not start and the terrorist will not get the benefit of running through vehicle

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Impact Of Vehicle And Traffic Coordinating System: – Impact On Road Accidents : – Accident Due to Exceed speed Limit – The GPS receiver will keep on tracking the vehicle Speed ,Location , Direction , Time of Travel and will send the obtain Data to the control Unit – The control Unit will send the data to speed control Unit where the speed control unit will compare the obtain speed with predefine speed limit – If the speed control unit found the violation of speed , The speed control unit will send the information to the control unit regarding the violation of speed limit – The Control unit then prepare a report and send a message to Vehicle ACD to slow down and again monitor the vehicle – If the vehicle keep on violating the speed for a pre define time the Control Unit will send a control signal to the ACD to reject the license and stop the vehicle – And the Control unit stores the license no. of the vehicle for violating the speed Limit for Further assistance

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Impact On Accident Due To Traffic Signal Violation: – Impact on accident due to traffic signal violation – The Control Unit will have a Traffic control Unit which will check the Status of the Signal that is either it is Red or Green and will compare the status of signal with the vehicle location – If The signal is Red and still the location of the vehicle is changing the Traffic control unit will consider that the vehicle has broke the signal and will send the report to the Control Unit regarding the Signal violation – The control Unit on Finding the Traffic signal violation will send the ACD the message to the driver to stop and pay the fine and start monitoring the vehicle by keep on checking its obtain data – If the vehicle keeps on moving the Control Unit will send the control signal to the ACD to reject the License and stop the vehicle and will store the vehicle license No, for further Assistance

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Implementation : – FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a traffic control system in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 2 is an access control device in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 3 is a flow chart that shows steps involved in a process of authentication of a driver by an Access Control Device (ACD) in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 4 is a flow chart that shows steps involved in enabling A D-GPS system through the ACD in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 5 is a flow chart that shows steps involved in speed monitoring and speed violation of a vehicle in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 6 is a flow chart that shows steps involved in monitoring the violation of signals on the streets in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 7 is a flow chart that shows steps involved in handling any emergency situation are shown in accordance with the present invention – FIG. 8 is a flow chart that shows steps involved steps involved in the management of the street lights in accordance with the present invention

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .1 – The front layer (15) include plurality of computer programs – The GPS tracking unit (20) monitor the speed , direction etc. – The Monitor data is send to the Control unit 12 ,where the obtain data is sent to master control unit (22) through front layer (15) – Master control unit (22) send the obtain data to all this units (26,28,24,32,30) for analyzing and interpreting it – Master control unit(22) analyze any rule violation or emergency situation to take appropriate action

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .2 – Fig 2 shows the Access control Device – It Includes a License slot (50) – A microprocessor (52) – A touch screen digital display (54) – A GPS receiver (56) – Biometric verification module (58) – Memory chip (60) – The microprocessor (52) control the keyboard and display – The vehicle ACD has the capability to store the driver ID , License no , and vehicle codes in its internal flash memory

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .3 – Fig 3 Shows the authentication of driver – In the 1st step the user enter his license in the ACD – In the 2nd step the ACD check the authorization of the user That whether he is authorized by the owner or not – In the 3rd step if the user is authorized to drive , the ACD copy the license the no. and send the no, to control unit to check the previous driving records – In the 4th step if no rule violation is found in the record , the control unit inform the ACD to ask for the pin verification – In the 5th if the pin is correct the ACD ask for biometric verification – In the 6th step if verification is correct the control unit ask the ACD to pull down the license and start the vehicle

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .4 – The Fig 4 refer to the enabling of speed control unit – The ACD keep on sending the obtain data from the GPS unit regarding the vehicle speed, location etc . To the control unit – The control unit through master control unit sends the data to speed control unit to verify the speed limit and on exceed speed limit – The control unit send the warning message to the ACD to slow down and start monitoring the vehicle – On finding again the violation it again send the warning message to the ACD – If the violation continuous the Control unit ask the ACD to pull up the license and stop the vehicle

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .5 – The Fig 5 refer to the enabling of Traffic signal control unit – The ACD keep on sending the obtain data from the GPS unit regarding the vehicle speed, location etc . To the control unit – The control unit through master control unit sends the data to speed control unit to verify that the vehicle found near traffic signal are following the signal or not , on found violation – The control unit send the warning message to the ACD to stop & pay the fine and start monitoring the vehicle – On finding again the violation it again send the warning message to the ACD – If the violation continuous the Control unit ask the ACD to pull up the license and stop the vehicle and register the vehicle no, for signal violation in the data base

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .5 – The Fig 5 refer to the enabling of Emergency control unit – The ACD keep on sending the obtain data from the GPS unit regarding the vehicle speed, location etc . To the control unit – The control unit through master control unit sends the data to speed control unit to verify whether any vehicle is entering under construction area and if found – The control unit send the warning message to the ACD to stop & change the direction and start monitoring the vehicle – On finding again that the vehicle has not change its direction , it again send the warning message to the ACD – If the vehicle direction continuous the Control unit ask the ACD to pull up the license and stop the vehicle to save from accident

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .7 – The Fig 7 refer to the enabling of street lamp control unit – On finding any ACD near the street lamp the street lamp unit get activated and inform the Control unit – The control unit send the input signal to the circuits mounted on the street – On finding the signal the circuit makes the street lamp bright for a preset time – And when there is no ACD found near the lamps the control unit again sends a signal to make the street light dim

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Referring To Fig .8 – The Fig 8 refer to the enabling of Traffic intensity control unit – On finding less no, of ACD near the Traffic signal the Traffic intensity control unit get activated and inform the Control unit – The control unit send the input signal to the circuits mounted on the traffic signal – On finding the signal the circuit change the Traffic signal depending on the traffic intensity of an area near the signal

Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Required budget to install a ACD in a vehicle – Today most of the vehicle already consist – Digital display screen – Microcontroller and Processor – GPS receiver, Biometric verification module – So as the ACD consist of all this devices the required budget will be very less which will be only required to make a license slot – So the access control device will be affordable by a common vehicle user also
  30. 30. Traffic And Vehicle Safety System Required budget for Control Unit – There is only requirement for the Transmitter and receiver circuit in the control unit – As the other requirement for the control unit will be Software Base So, less budget required for control unit also
