A great example of a Political Factor is the smoking ban as it affected Bars and Pubs
Economical Factors
This is such thing as;
Inflation
Interest rates.
Exchange Rates
Economical Growth
The best example of this is the recession which is happening just now as many companies are suffering. They are having to find ways to cut costs and the way many companies are going is making people redundant.
Also the exchange rates are a big problem at the moment as £1 = 1.07 Euro. Which means when people are on holiday such as MAGALUFF, things will be dearer.
Social Factors
Social Factors include the demographic and cultural aspects of macroenviroment. These factors affect customer needs and the size of the potential markets. Some Social Factors include;
Health Consciousness
Population Growth Rate
Age Distribution
Career Attitudes
Emphasis on Safety
Technological Factors
This will include Automation and E-commerce.
Automation is a big factor within manufacturing cars as it cuts cost as you do not need people to make the cars, machines perform all the work.
E-commerce is online buying, such as e-bay or just buying clothes from River Island.
Environmental Factors
This will deal with Green House Issues.
This may include the issue with old refrigerators and deodorant cans, having CFC gases in them.
Competitive Factors
Usually this deals with Price Wars and Imitations.
A great example of this is Asda as when they decrease there prices, it forces all big supermarkets to lower there prices too.
