  2. 2. Objectives <ul><li>The purpose of the this presentation is to inform you of the modern technology company, Apple Inc. </li></ul><ul><li>They develop and sell computers, portable media players, mobile phones, and computer hardware. </li></ul>

Apple Inc . <ul><li>Apple Inc. has been one of the most successful companies in America. </li></ul><ul><li>Created in 1976, Apple has made a big impact in the computer industry. </li></ul><ul><li>Apple Inc. is soaring through the 2000’s, excelling amazingly. </li></ul>Steven Jobs and Steven Wozniak, founders of Apple Inc.
  4. 4. Apple Retail Stores <ul><li>On May 19 th , 2001, Apple launched it’s first retail stores in Virginia and California. </li></ul><ul><li>Today there are about 200 stores in 5 different countries, a huge success. </li></ul>Underground Apple store on 5 th Avenue in New York City.
  5. 5. iPod <ul><li>The iPod was Apple’s first mp3 player. It was introduced in October, 2001. </li></ul><ul><li>It expanded the company’s products from not just computers. </li></ul><ul><li>Today the iPod, starting at $249, holds up to 160GB. </li></ul><ul><li>You can listen to songs, look at pictures, and watch videos. </li></ul>
  6. 6. iPod shuffle <ul><li>The iPod shuffle was introduced in January 2005. </li></ul><ul><li>The iPod shuffle is tiny small sized iPod for on the go. </li></ul><ul><li>Today, the shuffle, starts at $49 and holds up to 2GB. </li></ul><ul><li>It only features music. </li></ul>
  7. 7. iPod nano <ul><li>The nano was introduced in September, 2005. </li></ul><ul><li>The iPod nano is the world’s most popular music player. </li></ul><ul><li>Today, it holds up to 8GB and starts at $149. </li></ul><ul><li>Songs, pictures, videos, and more, are features of the nano. </li></ul>
  8. 8. iPod touch <ul><li>iPod touch is Apple first touch screen iPod launched in September, 2007. </li></ul><ul><li>It is also Apple’s first iPod able to access the internet. </li></ul><ul><li>Today it holds up to 32GB, and starts at $299. </li></ul><ul><li>Songs, pictures, videos, and internet, are also features of the iPod touch. </li></ul>
  9. 9. MacBook <ul><li>Apple’s MacBook, introduced in May 2006, is a small laptop with so much to offer. </li></ul><ul><li>With great graphics and fast performance, the MacBooks are a great seller. </li></ul><ul><li>Today, it holds up to 2.4GHz, and starts at $1,099. </li></ul>

MacBook Air <ul><li>Apple’s MacBook air was introduced in January, 2008. </li></ul><ul><li>It is the world’s thinnest laptop, between 0.16 and 0.76 inches thin. </li></ul><ul><li>It hast great performance and is very portable at only 3 pounds. </li></ul><ul><li>Today, it has up to 1.8GHz and starts at $1,799. </li></ul>
  11. 11. iPhone <ul><li>The iPhone, introduced in June 2007, was Apple’s boldest idea. </li></ul><ul><li>It was a touch screen phone, camera, iPod, and could access the internet. </li></ul><ul><li>It became known worldwide, and was named Time magazine’s 2007 invention of the year. </li></ul><ul><li>Today, it holds up to 16GB of storage and starts at $399. </li></ul>
  12. 12. iTunes <ul><li>iTunes was introduced in January, 2001. </li></ul><ul><li>It is a free downloaded program used to purchase and organize your own music and video library. </li></ul><ul><li>It can be used on a PC or Mac, and an iPod is not needed. </li></ul><ul><li>The iTunes music store sold more than 100 million songs in the first year. </li></ul>
  13. 13. (PRODUCT) RED <ul><li>When you purchase a special edition (PRODUCT) RED iPod model (iPod shuffle, iPod nano or iTunes gift card), Apple gives a portion of the money to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa! </li></ul>

Success <ul><li>Apple made $24.01 billion in the year 2007. </li></ul><ul><li>Apple is ranked 121 st in Fortunes top 500 of America’s largest corporations. </li></ul><ul><li>Starting as a small hobby project between college friends, Apple has grown to be a unique successful company. </li></ul>
