Transcript

  • 1. Widgets – fun things for your blog’s sidebar
  • 2. In the Weblogs tab, click on the Design section of the appropriate blog. This is where you will find the Widget gallery.
  • 3. A gallery full of widgets for your blog
  • 4. The Widget that I will use as an example is the Odeo podcast player, which can be found in Widgetbox- another Widget provider.
  • 5. In order for the Widget to work, you need to provide it with details of your podcast feed- i.e. Where your podcasts are on the internet.
  • 6. As the Widget instructions stipulate, by clicking on this link I will be given an HTML code, allowing the Widget to locate the podcasts, and thereby put a player on the blog.
  • 7. Copy this HTML code onto your clipboard.
  • 8. Paste the code here from Odeo, and then Add to TypePad
  • 9.
  • 10. Will automatically add the widget to your sidebar. You can decide exactly where you want it to be in your sidebar by using the Design tab.
