  1. 1. Policies and Procedures Mr. Jorgensen Room 319
  2. 2. Procedures <ul><li>1. Each student is expected to enter class on time. Students should take their seats quietly and begin following the directions on the board, overhead, or QOTD. If this procedure is not followed, you will be marked tardy. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>2 . When the teacher gives the signal, students should do the following: Stop what you are doing, face the teacher, stop talking, and wait for directions. </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>3. When it is time to work you are expected to do so. If you finish your work early you may free read or work on assignments from another class. Prepare to succeed. There is always something you can do to improve. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>4. Each time that you leave the room it is necessary that you sign out. The sheet is located by the door. You must carry a pass. Please do not abuse this privilege. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>5. Each student will have an assigned seat. Your seats may change very often or very little. Sometimes you may choose your own. This all depends on how well the procedures are followed. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Classroom Rules <ul><li>1. Be respectful to others, the classroom, the teacher, and to yourself. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Members of Camp Snoopy live by five character values . RIDCC. What does that stand for? </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>2. Be responsible. It is your job to make sure your assignments are completed on time. It is your job to make sure that you make up any of the work from days that you may have missed. There will be many directions to follow and you are responsible for being an active listener. Many points can be earned this way. Follow the twelve steps to 8th grade science success. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Bring the following items with you to each class(everyday): <ul><li>1. Assignment Notebook </li></ul><ul><li>2. Interactive Science Notebook </li></ul><ul><li>3. Pencil / Pen and Paper </li></ul><ul><li>4. Covered Science Book </li></ul><ul><li>5. Homework </li></ul><ul><li>6. Positive Mental Attitude: PMA </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>3. Learn. Have fun. Ask questions. Work hard. Follow guidelines for tests and class success. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Late Work Policy <ul><li>You are expected to complete all work regardless of how late it is. Work not turned in results in a zero. </li></ul><ul><li>AV-W School late-work policy will be followed </li></ul>
  12. 12. <ul><li>Your assignment notebook will be a valuable tool this year. Bring it to every class. </li></ul><ul><li>Our goal is to produce quality work. Mistakes are O.K. Keep trying. Effort is very important. </li></ul>
