  • The National Main Street Program has a 28-year history of revitalizing historic downtown commercial cores. Arkansas is fortunate to have a strong Main Street Program housed in the Department of Arkansas Heritage. Main Street Arkansas created the Downtown Network program to offer resources and education to communities who were starting down the Main Street path. Eureka Springs was accepted into the program in 2007, but jumped with both feet in 2009.Eureka Springs Downtown Network is the only organization solely dedicated to the financial success of downtown Eureka Springs. With our history, architecture, geography and independently owned businesses Eureka Springs’ downtown offers a mix that cannot be replicated anywhere else. Downtown is the keystone to the economic structure of the community both as a visitor attraction and as a source of sales/property tax revenue.
  • When Washington talks about Main Street – they are talking about us. We matter, both to our town’s economic growth and to the national landscape. Our motto – and this is important for Eureka Springs – Projects, not politics. We are interested in what isn’t working and how we can make it work.

David is bringing a childhood memory from Martha’s Vineyard to Eureka Springs – The Grand Illumination. Eureka Springs will welcome spring with a citywide display of colorful paper lanterns as vibrant and exciting as the city's famous spring flowers.  The inaugural Eureka Springs Grand Illumination will take place in the middle of Eureka's May Festival Of The Arts over the weekend of May 13th-16th. Downtown Eureka will be aglow with thousands of brilliant paper lanterns, day and night, as will many of the city's stately Victorian homes.
