Information about the ChevyCamaro The base cost of the Chevrolet Camaro (according to gmc.ca) is $27,855 CAD The Available engines are (by trim levels) LS and LT models are powered by a 3.6L (220 cu in) V6 producing 304 HP (227kw) which can be either a 6- speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The SS model is powered by the 6.2 L (376 cu in) LS3 V8 producing 426 hp (318kw) and includes a 6-speed manual shift. The Automatic SS model gets a L99 V8 with 400 hp (300kW). The EPA Fuel Economy for City on the 2012 Chevy Camaro is between 14- 19 and for Highway it is between 19-30. Tire Sizes for the Chevy Camaro are P245/45R20 for Front and P275/40R20 rear for Summer performance (available on the LT and SS). The P245/50R19 (available on the LT) and P245/55R18 are all-season touring (available on the LS and LT). Two special selling features of the Camaro are the Transformers Edition and Synergy Edition The name Camaro means “a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs.”

Safety Features Onstar – a system created by General Motors to provide a subscription-based communication service that includes in- vehicle security, hands free calling, turn-by-turn navigation and remote diagnostics throughout USA, Canada and China. Airbag – a vehicle safety device that is able to restrain a person from striking objects like a steering wheel or a window. It consists of a flexible envelope designed to inflate rapidly during an automobile collision.

  7. 7. Did you know? The Fifth Gen Camaro is produced at Chevy’s Oshawa, Ontario plant. GM was planning to close it in 2008 but decided to invest $740 million to convert the plant to only produce Camaros. The first Camaro came in the RS, SS or Z/28 packages and buyers had the choice between 80 different factory options. The Camaro has been a popular choice at the Indianapolis 500 being selected 5 times. The Camaro was originally going to be called “Panther. The 1967 Camaros were going to run on 13” tires. The Camaro had four body styles – coupe, convertible, fastback and station wagon planned instead of just 2 styles.
