J.F.K.’s Parents<br />His father, Joseph Patrick Kennedy, acquired a multi-million dollar business in the banking, bootlegging, ship building and film industry.<br />He was also a very “skilled player of the stock market”.<br />His mother’s name was Rose Fitzgerald.<br />Her father, John F. Fitzgerald, was once the mayor of Boston.<br />
  3. 3. John’s Birth<br />John F. Kennedy was born on May 19, 1917.<br />He was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, U. S.<br />
  4. 4. John Joins The U. S. Navy<br />In the fall of 1941 John joined to U. S. Navy.<br />In 1945, J. F. K.was discharged. When he returned home he found out the news that his older brother, Joe, who his father expected to be the first Kennedy to run for office, had been killed in the war. <br />After Joe’s death his family thought that John would be the first one to run for office.<br />
  5. 5. John For Congress<br />John didn’t disappoint his family by not running for office, in fact he never lost an election.<br />His first chance came in 1946 when he was just 29 years old. John ran for congress.<br />J. F. K. served three years in the House Of Representatives.<br />Then in 1952, John ran for U. S. senate, defeating Henry Cabot Lodge. In 1958 J. F. K. was reelected for the U. S. senate.<br />
  6. 6. John Gets Married<br />On September 12, 1953 John married Jacqueline Bouvier.<br />They had three children together:<br />1. Caroline, who was born in 1957.<br />2. John Jr., born 1960.<br />3. And Patrick, who was born on August 7, 1953 and sadly died two days later. <br />
  7. 7. John Runs For President <br />In January 1960 John F. Kennedy announced that he was going to run for president of the United States.<br />His rivals were Hurbert H. Humphrey of Minnesota and Lyndon B. Johnson of Texas.<br />John F. Kennedy won the running for president of the United States, as a Democrat, with Lyndon B. Johnson as his vice president.<br />With J. F. K.’s win he became the U. S. A.’s 35th president. <br />
  8. 8. J. F. K. Gets Assassinated<br />On November 22, 1963, while he was in Dallas, Texas, John F. Kennedy was shot and rushed to the Parkland Hospital. <br />Later on that that day J. F. K. was announced dead, devastating the whole world.<br />On November 25, 1963, J. F. K. was buried at the Arlington National Cemetery.<br />
  9. 9. John F. Kennedy’s assassinator<br />John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Lee Oswald left high school when he was 17 and became a U. S. marine. <br />
  10. 10. After The Assassination<br />Oswald was being transferred to the County Jail and would have picked up the ride in the garage, but he was shot. Oswald was handcuffed to policeman James Leavelle and never had a chance. Jack Ruby approached Oswald from the right and shot him.<br />Lee Harvey Oswald was taken to Parkland Hospital where he died at 1:07 p.m. He died 48 hours and 7 minutes after John F. Kennedy in exactly the same hospital. <br />Oswald was buried at Rose Hill cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas. <br />
