  • -Open comment period from September 26 to November 22, 2013-This month, PRSA is developing a task force to decide the next steps (http://prsay.prsa.org/index.php/2013/12/19/enhancing-apr-next-steps/) -Take first half of 2014 to develop recommendations, Board will vote on recommendations second half of 2014. -Don’t expect implementation until 2015.
  • -No changes at this time to the current process-Application takes about two weeks for turnaround. There is a nonrefundable $25 application fee and $385 ($410 in two payments) examination fee to be paid up front. From the date of approval to being, the candidate has one year to complete the process. -Readiness Review Questionnaire due to APR Chair at least 15 days before scheduled Readiness Review -Readiness Review: Problem Statement, Research, Goal, Audiences, Objectives, Strategies, Tactics, Budget, Timeline, Assessment Measures -Maintenance: Every three years, 10 points with 5 from continuing education, $50, remain a member of one of the participating organizations of UAB (Agricultural Relations CouncilAsociación de Relacionistas Profesionales de Puerto RicoFlorida Public Relations AssociationMaine Public Relations CouncilNational School Public Relations AssociationPublic Relations Society of America(PRSA)Religion Communicators CouncilSouthern Public Relations Federation)
