  4. 4. Our Balancing Brainstorming Board
  5. 5. Be the Willow <ul><li>Our year began with changes: </li></ul><ul><li> a new teacher </li></ul><ul><li> changing classroom areas </li></ul><ul><li> a week-long GT study hall period </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>All along the way, we reminded ourselves </li></ul><ul><li>to ‘ be the willow ’ and bend with the changes. </li></ul><ul><li>We are balancing changes! </li></ul><ul><li>Life is about balancing changes! </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>To remind ourselves to be willows, </li></ul><ul><li>we rooted curly willow branches that will one day </li></ul><ul><li>be large, stable trees. </li></ul>◄ Small branches put in plastic cigar tubes filled with water for rooting.
  8. 8. ◄ The larger stems were plopped into a gallon jar of water. The water has been changed weekly…
  9. 9. … and now we have roots, and in this case, even sprouts! ►
