Migration from Hewlett-Packard’s Code Data Mapping Application (CDMA) to AnalytiX™ Mapping Manager® Code Set Manager (CSM) is an automated process that allows for the typical Business Analyst the ability to simply move one set of code defined in CDMA in one side to the AnalytiX™ CSM on another while preserving domains, enterprise code set values and mappings, code hier-archies, definitions and translation rules.

  2. 2. About AnalytiX™ Data Services AnalytiX™ Data Services leadership team has been at the forefront of the data integration industry for more than 20 years providing data integration software and technology services to deliver data integration and business intelligence solution to its customers. For more information Contact AnalytiX™ Data Services 14175 Sullyfield Circle, Suite # 400 Chantilly, VA 20151 USA CDMA Migration to AnalytiX™ Mapping Manager® The HealthCare case for operational efficiency The ability to manage multiple code sets from a centralized repository has allowed us to reduce the overall risk and all but eliminate the data quality issues normally associated with dynamic code sets found in most Data Warehousing and Master Data Management projects. Rom Linhares Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services (800) 656-9860 www.analytixds.com 5 Day Turnkey: HP CDMA to Mapping Manager Conversion While storing and managing codesets and data cross-reference mappings are necessary, they are hardly sufficient to a healthcare entity. At AnalytiX Data Services we believe it is imperative to centrally manage all codes and provide them to other objects (outside of traditional data mappings) that are used by a variety of downstream applications, processes and user-support systems. Data Integration and Master Data Management are two of the most the complex applications to have to ideal with these. The dynamic nature of healthcare requires these code and cross-reference sets to be managed proactively and dynamically, allowing full traceability and documentation in support of compliance requirements. Code sets Business Data Analysts must have the ability to capture lists of codes values from various sources and then upload and manage those code values into a central repository assigning them to various code sets. Target codes sets are created and the source codes values are mapped to their corresponding target code values. A code set is typically comprised of a code value and a code description.
  3. 3. Reference data While reference data is similar to code sets in nature, it also has a lot more data that is associated with other data then just a code value and a code description. It has defined hierarchy (i.e. a product belongs to a product family which belongs to a product line which belongs to a brand), aggregation (i.e. lists containing multiple values such as “cancer codes”) or cross-walk (allowing the transition from one set of codes to another by using code translation tables or composite data maps). Migration from CDMA to AnalytiX™ Mapping Manager® Migration from Hewlett-Packard’s Code Data Mapping Application (CDMA) to AnalytiX™ Mapping Manager® Code Set Manager (CSM) is an automated process that allows for the typical Business Analyst the ability to simply move one set of code defined in CDMA in one side to the AnalytiX™ CSM on another while preserving domains, enterprise code set values and mappings, code hierarchies, definitions and translation rules. Benefits of migrating to AnalytiX™ Mapping Manager® and Code Set Manager Mapping Manager® is the first enterprise software in the integration industry which brings standards, management, and allows the business analyst to dynamically build mapping specifications (via drag and dropping of metadata from the metadata browser) which becomes clean, approved requirements and specification inputs to developers. These specifications are versionable, trackable, auditable, and repeatable throughout the lifecycle of integration projects and are used to generate data mapping processes that integrate fully with leading ETL Suite of tools like (IBM InfoSphere Information Server DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services) and others while reducing time in analysis, design, development, testing and production while increasing overall data quality and information integrity throughout the entire information lifecycle. For more information on how fast you can migrate to AnalytiX™ Mapping Manager® and take advantage of Code Set Manager to manage your code set libraries and generate data integration processes, please contact AnalytiX™ Data Services at (800) 6569860 or contact your Hewlett-Packard account manager and inquire about the AnalytiX conversion initiative to the AnalytiX supported platform.
