The MS-X series of Urmet Sistemi’s mediation systems is a full-IP and convergent solution. based entirely on COTS hardware.
The MX-X architecture is inherenly scalable thanks to its innovative communication infrastructure (DSO) and global file system (GFS). MS-X based products are available with different hardware configuration to support different performance requirements, inclu- ding high availability and geographic redundancy.
MS-X scalable architecture
Depending on the characteristics of the architecture and the core network equipment, MS-X supports in- terception in different ways:
Active Mode: assuming that the core-network equipment (fixed, mobile or IP network) can offer natively the lawful interception function (IIF), MS-X will be integrated with the core network though X1 (configuration), X2 (IRI) and X3 (CC) interfaces.
Semi-Active Mode: In this case, the intercep- tion is activated to the network equipment in response to an event intercepted by a probe (SS7 or RADIUS packet networks).
Passive Mode: in this case the intercepted information (X2 and X3) is collected and delive- red to the MS-X by a probe.
