e-students Presentation

 1. 1. E-Students
Twice a term Izaac and I go to different schools to learn new ICT skills. So far we have learnt how to make animations using digital cameras and Movie Maker and how to make a documentary using flip video cameras, microphones and Movie Maker.
2. 2. A documentary…

is a video or movie that tells us true information about someone or something
 3. 3. has scenes that are carefully chosen and are not scripted. The people are not actors.
 4. 4. would usually include interviews with the people in the movie.
 5. 5. has to be interesting so that people will want to watch it.
 6. 6. tells a story.
 7. 7. does not have to be about people.

Last week we made a mini documentary about Anna Paquin.
Step 1:
We chose a famous New Zealander at random and our person was Anna Paquin. We made a plan about what our documentary would contain.
8. 8. Step 2:
We gathered information about Anna Paquin and photos of famous New Zealanders including her.
9. 9. Step 3:
Using the information about her that we had found, we filmed myself with the flip video camera telling facts about our famous New Zealander. We then transferred the video on to the computer and into our documentary.
10. 10. Step 4:
We found a video of her winning her Oscar on YouTube and shortened it to the right length in Movie Maker, then we recorded myself talking about Anna Paquin winning her Oscar. We then added this to the movie as well.
11. 11. Step 5:
We added the final touches, like a title, credits, captions, music and a few more pictures including a picture of an Oscar Award.
12. 12. We hope you enjoyed our presentation! Check out the link on our class blog to see the final product.
