Slide 1: Cyclone 1 Bravo May 1997 Miles Blaver-Mann
Slide 2: When did it happen • The cyclone built up over the Indian Ocean on May 19th at 6:30pm. • It then struck the Bangladesh coast line at Chittenango on the south eastern coast. • Cyclone one Bravo was a terrific tropical storm and one that many locals did not even dream of happening.
Slide 3: Affects • 111 Deaths • 7000 injured • Farm land destroyed • 3000 hectors of crops destroyed • 2000 cattle destroyed. • Many rivers burst banks.
Slide 4: After shock • Many had to brought in by MEDC charities to paid fro food and shelter. • More money was given by MEDC governments so dept increased.
