Abi's stations of the cross

 1. 1. My Favourite Stations of the Cross
There are fourteen
Stations of the cross
& these are my four favourite
2. 2. Station 4: Jesus Meets His Mother
Mary saw Jesus carrying the cross. She rushed over to see Him. It would have been so hard for Mary to see her only son in such pain, walking to his death.
He was hurting. There was blood all over His body. Jesus had to go on.
3. 3. Station 10: Jesus is Stripped Naked
The guards took Jesus to where He was going to be crucified. They drew lots to see who got his garments.
This was very embarrassing for Jesus to be stripped naked and the guards made a game out of His clothes.
4. 4. Station 12: Jesus Dies on the Cross
Pontius Pilate ordered a sign to be placed above Jesus’ head that read “ King of the Jews”.
The cross was lifted into place, Jesus said to Mary
“Here is your son”, and to John “Here is your Mother”.
Jesus said He was thirsty and the soldiers offered Him wine mixed with vinegar. The soldiers saw Jesus as a criminal.
Jesus talked to one of the thieves and said “You will be in paradise with me”
5. 5. Station 12: Jesus Dies on the Cross continued….
Jesus said “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me”, then he said “Father into your hands I commend my spirit.
A few moments later He said “It is finished”
Jesus died at 3pm on Mount Calvary.
6. 6. Station 14: Jesus is Laid in the Tomb
People went back to their homes. John, Joseph of Arimathea, Mary and Nichodemous went from Calvary to Jesus’ burial tomb. Joseph and John carried Jesus into the tomb. They laid Him on a rock. The men moved a large boulder in front of the tomb entrance to block it.
