In the 19 century t-shirts were originally worn asundershirts. Now t-shirts are worn frequently as the only piece of clothing on the top half of thebody. The t-shirt has also become a medium for self-expression and advertising, with anyimaginable combination of words, art, and even photographs (http://en.wikipedia.org) T-shirtdesigners use graphic designs to create a unique style for their product. First of all, what is a graphic designer? According to career cruising, “Graphic designersare visual communication experts who design many products, including, advertisements,brochures, and product packaging” (careercruising.com). The purpose of graphic design is “togive order to information, form ideas, expression and feeling to art fads that document humanexperience” (en.wikipedia.org). The graphic designer can work on a freelance basis or for anational corporation or public entity (ehow.com). Regardless of where the work is done and whatthe final product is, graphic design is a rapidly growing field (ehow.com) A graphic designproject may involve the stylization and presentation of existing text and either pre-existingimagery or images developed by the graphic design (en.wikipedia.org). To be a graphic designer takes skill, time, and a goodimagination. One ofrequirement for a graphic designer at a t-shirt company is fluency in different languages. To beable to work all around the world, a designer needs to know different languages to communicateso the work design will fit the market. Clear communication with different kinds of people isnecessary if the company is to be able to sell its designs all over the world. Another importantrequirement is to understand the cultural limitation of each that a country may have on designs.For example if a designer is working in Indonesia, with is mainly a Hindu culture, the designermust know to avoid any design that includes a cow. Hindus do not want to insult the cowsbecause the animals are part of their spiritual beliefs. For this reason why? they would not beputting a cow allow a cow to be used. In conclusion, Graphic design has been going for several years already, to be able towork in this career you need to know most of the techniques that would be able to make your jobeasier and well done. To be able to work Designers must be able to work under extreme timerestrictions and very defined financial and design limits to produce quality material. A successfulgraphic designer has an enviable life, choosing clients and earning significant amounts of money.I think I would be able to work and do well on the projects. Graphic design creating your ownstyle to be unique. A lot of times by doing that it makes it popular and the graphic design goes onfor years. As the years are pass graphic design never dies. These factors that I learned are reallyinteresting and it makes me want to learned more about it. Overall, I think this career isinteresting to choose from.
