1. Sea Mammals
Did you know that there are about 120 ocean-
dwelling mammals! They transport by swimming
and moving their spines up and down and
shaking their tale the same way. Some of then
move very fast but others move very slow. They
transport things internally but digesting then just
like us! All of their things go through their blood.

how we know so much about these wonderful animals. These
animals sometimes have to eat bigger or smaller things to keep
peace with in the ocean if not the only things that would be in
there would be the whales. So that means that these animals are
pretty high up on the food chain the whales are the highest then
they dolphins and the sharks sea lions seals and so on and so forth
How do you think sea mammals reproduce? Asexually or sexually?
Well the answer is sexually that means that it takes two of the same
kind to make another one. When these mammals get scared they
respond by swimming away either very fast or slow. The most
common species that everyone know is whales they don’t like ruff
waters so they will go out further to sea. They will adapt to their
new homes by adding a new layer of blubber if they are going to
colder water or if they are moving to warmer water then they loose

These mammals are built just like us. They have almost all the same bones as us. Yes they do have phalanges and knee’s and their spin goes from
the back of their neck to the end of their tail. Their long spines help them swim faster it also helps them protect them self they can do this by
hitting the predator with their tail. Have you ever wondered the importance of these animals since they aren’t on land. Well the dolphins and some
sea lions. Some interesting facts about these sea mammals is their average life span. The dolphins live anywhere for 40-50 years, Whales 40-5-
years, walruses about 40 years, sea otters 23 years old, sea lions female 30 years males 18 years, and seals live anywhere from 20-22 years. The
group name of the whales is the Pod and they group name of the walrus is Herd.
