  • 2. It takes 7me and pure sweat to  get people in a community to  engage and interact with each other…     …and you!  
  • 3. Here are some life saving    7ps  to succeed as a community  manager and tribe builder. 
  • 4. Mindjumpers  recommends   applying the 7ps   on 
  • 5. 1  Make it Easy Peasy   to Par7cipate 
  • 6. Use mul7ple entry points  and ways for your fans to  contribute  to the community.  
  • 7. Facebook enables fans  to post comments – tag photos ‐  like content ‐ comment others ‐  reply to discussions…   you name it! 
  • 8. Use ac7onable language to  turn those lazy observers into  commiKed contributors.  
  • 9. ok to put out a  It’s  call for ac7on   if you need to. Really!   
  • 10. Use status updates to  ask ques7ons and  encourage responses.   DO NOT    deliver press releases!!!! 
  • 11. 2  Be an Inspirer 
  • 12. Every community is different and  a manager must  adapt   accordingly. But first of all:   be a leader! 
  • 13. A great leader will step in and  encourage people   to interact with each other.  
  • 14. start  A great leader will  discussions and ask  fans to engage.  
  • 15. post   A great leader will  inspiring content and floss  every day… ok, you get the leader‐ thing. 
  • 16. 3  Interact with The  Community 
  • 17. Interac7ng with the  community lets them know that  someone is listening. 
  • 18. Welcome newcomers  and encourage them to   join  in the conversa7ons. 
  • 19. Talk to commentators, be  colloquial and lay out  guidelines for par7cipa7ng.  
  • 20. Pay aKen7on  to ac7ve par7cipants in the  community – they’re the ones  behind the content and the  pillars of your tribe. 
  • 21. delete posts  Yes, you may  if they are out of context.  
  • 22. delete Yes, you may   those  consistent nega7ve comments if  they purposely obstruct the  discussion, but… 
  • 23. …  always contact the writer  one‐on‐one before erasing.                       That’s common courtesy. 
  • 24. 4  Iden7fy and Nurture  Power Users 
  • 25. Don’t forget about those   frequent content  contributors in your  community.  
  • 26. The culture you create with  really ac7ve users from day one  will strongly  influence  your page when it reaches a  bigger audience.  
  • 27. Iden7fy, befriend and   nurture  the ac7ve and loyal users.  
  • 28. Your super users can offer great  insight and feedback.   They might even be smarter  than the manager. Yep, that’s you! 
  • 29. 5  Reward Contributors 
  • 30. Give users good reasons to  post comments and interact.  AKen7on is always a good  reason. 
  • 31. Always reply to  ques7ons and comments on the  wall and in private messages.
