  2. 2.  A free tool allowing you to explore ideas for keywords and phrases for use in your online marketing and SEO efforts  Provides a lot of great data and other information pertinent to a keyword  Very simple to use  Get started here
  3. 3. Next, comparison keywords will appear on the screen. You will see the number of monthly searches conducted using each keyword, on both a global and a local level. Competition will be rated as either “Low”, “Medium”, or “High”. Generally, words/phrases that are rated “Low” for competition will be easier to rank for.
  4. 4.  Create compelling copy that incorporates the words/phrases you’d like to use  Use this free, easy-to-use tool at www.live-keyword- analysis.com to determine the keyword density in your copy  Generally, you want to keep the density level somewhere between 3-5% (higher will be seen as spamming, lower makes it more difficult to rank for)
  5. 5.  Use your new copy for Web pages, blog posts, business directory listings, online press releases and articles, etc.  Don’t forget to use your keywords/phrases in your Web page/blog URLs, titles and headers, meta tags, etc.
