  4. 4. Map of Highway 401 Through Mississauga
  5. 5. Highway 401 Expansion Through Mississauga • Highway 401 expansion through the City of Mississauga is planned, designed and constructed in three segments: 1. Highway 401/410/403 interchange to Hurontario Street (2.3km) • the expansion of express/collector expansion ($106M) has been under construction since 2009. • By end of 2013, this section of the Highway 401 will be expanded to a 12-lane core/collector system including provision for HOV lanes in both directions. 1. Hurontario Street to east of Credit River (4.0 km) • Design is underway for construction start in 2014 with the widening of Mavis Road bridge. • When complete, the 12-lane core/collector system will be extended to west of Mavis Road, including HOV lanes in both directions, at which time the HOV lanes will be opened.
