    • What is NUDURA ?
      • NUDURA, commonly known as an insulated concrete form, is comprised of two layers of foam insulation
      • Insulated material is usually manufactured of expanded or extruded polystyrene (EPS)
      • Two layers of insulation are held together with webbing or ties creating a hollow block which acts as a form for a steel reinforced concrete center
      • Ties within NUDURA keep rebar placement firm during pouring of concrete
      • Resulting blocks are stacked like building blocks through interlock placement
      • Concrete is poured within the hollow form to create a solid 4” to 8” core
      • The result is a solid insulated wall assembly with good thermal resistance
      • NUDURA construction takes framing, insulating and wrapping a building
      • and ties it all into one process
      • Almost any finish can be applied to the inside and outside of NUDURA
      • There are virtually NO design limitations when building with NUDURA
    • Radius Flooring or Roof Decks Pool Gable
      • Webbing and fastening strips provide a face on the NUDURA form to fasten
      • internal and external finishes
      • Webbing is usually produced of polypropylene which will not deteriorate over
      • time when embedded in concrete
      • Once concrete is placed in a NUDURA form, the wall becomes airtight.
      • The performance – structural, thermal, moisture, acoustic, of a NUDURA wall is in most cases superior to a wood or steel framed wall (up to 3X more sound resistant than a typical wood frame)
      • Designed to withstand high wind, fire, elements, and the test of time
      • When building with NUDURA, you can breath easier knowing the air quality of a NUDURA home is better than the outside air.
      • Resulting structure is very strong and easily exceeds code
      • requirements for tornado and hurricane prone areas
        • up to 9X stronger than a typical wood frame structure
        • can withstand 250 mph winds
      • Most homeowners have found that building with a NUDURA system resulted in, reduced day to day costs, lower insurance premiums while at the same time increased the resale value
      • Energy Efficiency
        • Lack of thermal bridging, thermal mass, and air tightness are real, measurable and significant benefits of NUDURA
        • Up to 70% heating cost savings
        • Thermal resistance of R22 (6” form unit) with performance running up to R50
        • Thermal performance of an assembled wall can be double that of a typical wood framed wall, dependant on certain climatic conditions
        • Up to 9X more resistant to thermal bridging than a typical wood framed home
      • Water Vapor Transmission
        • Can sustain flooding with no structural damage
        • NUDURA as a high mass substrate is not susceptible to:
            • Dry rot
            • Termites
            • Mold
      • Fire / Flammability Resistance
        • Up to 4x more fire resistant than a typical wood framed wall
        • Non-combustible self extinguishing construction
        • Concrete core provides a fire resistance rating of up to 4 hours. Rating is based on how long you can safely get out of the building. Stick frame rating is 20 minutes
      • Save on Labor Costs
        • NUDURA is designed for speed. You can realize up
        • to 50% savings compared to OTHER ICFs on labor
        • building the framework of your home with NUDURA.
        • You can save even more, compared to building a
        • typical wood framed wall.
        • Overall cost is within 5-7%.
      • Reduced Maintenance
        • Conventional construction is prone to maintenance
        • problems such as drywall pops and basement leaks.
        • Building with NUDURA solves these problems, and
        • gives you a stronger, more durable, and more energy
        • efficient home.
      • Save on Sub-Trades
        • Use NUDURA and you won’t need to sub-contract out the foundation. Less delays, and less costs.
    • What are the costs?
      • This will compound itself each year that energy costs rise along with the added benefits of comfort, security, sound performance, resale value, etc
      • Why would you consider anything else?
      50% savings $72 $145 Energy $29/month less $1,595 $1,624 Monthly Cost 20% savings $48 $60 Insurance .15% tax rate $312 $300 Taxes 7.5% interest $1,163 $1,119 P & I 4.0% more $208,000 $200,000 Purchase Price Comments Concrete House Standard Wood Frame
