  • 1. Game Design Documentation Enter the name of your game here. Enter the name of your game studio here and logo above.
  • 2. Page 1 “Hook” Statement Here you should write no more than two lines that concisely explain the idea of the game. This is what will keep people reading so it needs to be good! Genre This is the style of the game. For example Action, Adventure, Strategy, Sport etc. it could be a mixture of more than one. Target Customer State who the audience is going to be for your game. Also identify any other games they might like to play. Competition List any similar games on the market. State their names and identify how your game is different/better. Unique Selling Points What is unusual about your game? Explain how it will stand out from the crowd.
  • 3. Page 2 Story and Narrative Backstory Explain the story behind your game. What has happened before the game’s current story? Objective Explain what the player has to do to complete the game. Characters List your characters here, state their names, any special abilities, key information and pictures. Storyline Write an outline of the story here, list key events in the plot. State whether the story is linear (does it follow one path) or branching (multiple paths). You could include a diagram if you wish?
