MicroGiving is…An online marketplace similar to eBay but instead of buyers and sellers there are Donors and Recipients. MicroGiving connects Donors and Recipients directly allowing Donors to make a difference with “micro” amounts of money! “In short, MicroGiving is like “Passing the Virtual Hat” for those in need”

How Does MicroGiving Work? Recipients Recipients are defined as Individuals, Families & Small Nonprofit Organizations in need.DonorsDonors are defined as anyone who has a few dollars to spare. Even as little as $1. Recipients join the MicroGiving community, complete a MicroGiving profile, upload photos, create a “request” and send MicroGiving their supporting documents. MicroGiving reviews Recipient supporting documents and verifies their cause. Once verified, MicroGiving publishes their “Request” with a donate button on the Recipient’s profile. Donors visit www.MicroGiving.com and either (a) join the MicroGiving community and then make a donation or (b) Browse Recipient profiles in the “Find a Cause” section and then make a direct donation to a cause they care about most!
