2. GENRE
• The genre of my music magazine is rock/indie, therefore
my audience will have an interest in these genres of
music and will listen to bands such as You Me At
Six, Arctic Monkeys, 30 Seconds To Mars, Nirvana etc.
Due to their interest in this genre of music they may also
be people who often attend gigs as many rock bands
have a lot of gigs and many fans go to them. My audience
will have a big interest in music.
4. AGE AND GENDER
• I feel the age of my audience will be quite
broad, anywhere between 14-24. Also gender will be
mixed, I feel females are most likely to read magazines
however with this genre of music males are the most
common fans and may want to read the magazine due to
this.
5. STYLE
• My target audience will have quite a unique but still trendy
style. There are different styles for this genre, some
extreme some not. My audience will shop at a range of
shops from Topshop, online etc. Many will wear band
tee’s to show their support and interest in music/bands.
Tattoos and piercings are a very stereotypical thing for my
target audience to have as well as bright hair colours on
females.
8. ASPIRATIONS
• Many of my audience will be aspiring musicians, which is
also a reason why they may read music magazines.
Some may want to work in music magazines themselves.
