  2. 2. Muhlenberg College was founded in 1848, and was named after Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. This is why the school’s mascot is the mule.

Muhlenberg offers forty majors in the humanities, fine arts, social sciences and natural sciences, in addition to pre-professional programs such as pre-health, pre-law, pre-theology, business and education. Muhlenberg has always been around since 1848, but it finally received its name in 1867 after Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. This name continues to live and is recognized throughout the country. Muhlenberg College was originally founded in 1848 as the Allentown Seminary by Reverend Samuel K. Brobst, a Reformed Lutheran minister.

At Muhlenberg, every student is offered the bachelor’s degree in accounting American Studies, Business Administration, English, Finance, History, International Studies, Political Science, and Psychology The accelerated degree program enables adults with two years of college to complete their degree in less than two years.
  5. 6. The red and white mules, in the athletic division, consist of Basketball, baseball, cross-country, football, golf, much more for both men and women. The sport that Muhlenberg is most known for is basketball.
  6. 7. As Muhlenberg assess your application, they’ll review your scholastic performance and look at your personal interests and activities. If you choose not to submit the SAT or ACT, you are required to complete an SAT-statement and an interview with a member of the Admissions staff. At Muhlenberg, for the 2009-2010 school year, a cost of $45,580 covers all but books and personal expenses for all students in or out of state.

Each student who is awarded a grant will receive a $2,600 stipend for eight weeks of research during the summer and one course-unit of research or independent study at no cost to the student The Merit scholarships range in value form $1,000 to $16,000 and are renewable for all four years at Muhlenberg.
