Business Development / Marketing role Daily duties Manage sales pipeline dealing directly with sales leads and enquiries, preparing preliminary research and reporting findings. Check online for IP press stories and update twitter. Check online for business news to identify potential new leads, do preliminary research on company and market and present initial findings to relevant team member to pursue. Weekly duties Update of Metis website news, including new appointments, sale of IP and events. Weekly update of slideshare, uploading any marketing documents for use in client meetings. Updating of client/contact databases and ensure groupings and distributions are appropriate. Monthly dutiesMarketing materials Coordinate monthly market intelligence reviews and review competitor websites and identify any developments that need a Metis response/reaction. Update the relevant competitor matrix. Creation and maintenance of Metis marketing material. Gathering the most recent report content and style of client reports and creation of sample reports to be used in the sales pipeline process and issued to clients and potential clients. Collate ideas and working documents from team members and develop case studies that can be uploaded onto website and laminated for distribution to clients and prospects. Create press features and adverts for inclusion in journals and business publications. Creation and distribution of the Metis quarterly newsletter using MS Publisher. Meet with Blueprint Media to ensure maximum relevant press coverage for Metis. Control the content and ensure consistency with key brand message.Event planning Organisation of team-to-team events; internal check list to be completed. Organisation of client hospitality, including responsibility for event planning, booking, and branded products, as required. Organisation of external events, including presentations, travel and liaison with event co- ordinator. Search for relevant awards and co-ordinate Metis application and follow-up.
