    Notes on slide 1

    Are you:

    •considering implementing mentoring?
•Planning or reviewing your mentoring program for next year?
•Do you want practical information, tips, tools, resources and processes? Or
•Are you are just curious to tap into many years of practical experience and find out how to avoid the pitfalls in making mentoring happen?

Hello, I’m Ann Rolfe of Mentoring Works.

and I can now offer you my step-by-step “Designing Mentoring Programs” course online.
Whether or not you’ve attended one of my workshops on designing mentoring programs (they’ve been run for the last four years at the International Mentoring Association conference in the USA, at the Australian Institute of Management in Canberra and in-house for major clients) the really good news is, that now you can participate in the program from anywhere in the world without leaving your desk.

The “Designing Mentoring Programs” online course shows you how to get acceptance of the mentoring concept, how to structure a program so that it is sustainable, how to train participants quickly and how to support mentoring relationships.

The course is based on twenty-five years experience in human resources and fifteen years researching and developing mentoring programs. The insight I’ve gained working with hundreds of organisations and people involved in mentoring has allowed me to produce the tools, techniques and proven processes that you will benefit from in this course.

    The online course includes:

    Recorded introductory slidecasts
Live webinars that will also be recorded
    Printed materials
Weekly e-course notes and activities, and
Personal consultation, one-to-one where I’ll guide you through the design and implementation of your own mentoring program.

The six-month course starts with an intensive training period to design your program and produce the plan. It includes ongoing support to ensure you’ll have everything ready for your program launch and continues to provide support to get your mentoring program underway.

We start with webinars weekly for the first six weeks. By that time you’ll have an implementation plan documented. We continue with monthly Q&A webinars. Weekly e-course notes and activities will keep you on track. You’ll be able to email me specific questions over the six months of the courseand have conversations about how to achieve the results you want.

Participating in the “Designing Mentoring Programs” course online means that you enjoy the convenience of delivery right to your desktop, wherever you are in the world. You can access all materials 24/7 and complete e-course activities at times that suit you.

Your costs are drastically reduced because you’ll spend less time away from your job and there’s no travel, accommodation or other expenses for you to attend the course.

You will experience a high level of personalised interactivity. You’ll collaborate with me and other participants in live webinars, which will be recorded and available exclusively to you and other course participants.

The course design ensures learning effectiveness. We know that most of what is delivered in day-long or even half-day presentations can be easily forgotten, notes and books often remain unread and learning may be lost or unused. But this course takes advantage of proven learning methodologies that enable you to retain and apply what you learn immediately. The first six-weeks of intensive learning enables you to design your mentoring program and document your plan. You will then continue with monthly follow-up webinars and one-to-one sessions to support you in implementing your plan.

We will clarify the mentoring concept and establish what mentoring is and what it isn’t and the role of mentors and mentorees.
We’ll look at delivering strategic value to your organisation with mentoring, specifying objectives, aims and measurable outcomes for your program
You will develop communication strategies that engage stakeholders, and
You’ll design integrated components of your mentoring program
We’ll explore coordinator’s role and talk about program sustainability
You’ll have a plan for recruiting and matching mentoring partners, training mentors and mentorees and evaluating mentoring.
You’ll also have a plan for managing the program, logistics and administration
And you’ll document your plan for implementation and follow-up

In my experience, I’ve found the best time to start your mentoring program is February. That’s why this six-month course starts the intensive training period in November to design your program and produce the plan. It includes ongoing support to ensure you’ll have everything ready for a February launch and continues until April when your mentoring program will be well underway.

Our start date for the Designing Mentoring Programs course is 2nd November. We complete the six-week intensive study by 14 December when you’ll have your mentoring program designed and documented. We’ll ease up over Christmas and New Year, get into implementation mode ready for February and beyond.

So, we’ve got a very short lead-time. Reply right now to ann@mentoring-works.com because you need to book your place on the course as I will be restricting the number of participants so that I can dedicate my time and focus on maximising your experience to ensure your success with the program.
