  • 2. “0 to 120 in six weeks…” Going online, going all in. From seven class Edublogs to 120 individual and class blogs… 2/8 @NZWaikato 2013/2014 2/9 @NZWaikato
  • 3. The BOT and Principal wanted to make a shift in Pedagogy. Our goal was to have students connecting and collaboration locally and globally. The school had class (edu) blogs in the past these were of limited success. 3/8 @NZWaikato Shift in Pedagogy and Investment in IT from the BOT Goal: To have the students connecting and collaborating locally and globally. 3/9 @NZWaikato
  • 4. Now: All Students 4-8 have individual blogs, all classes have blogs. Teachers using blogger and Hapara Dashboard. 4/9 @NZWaikato
  • 5. Two intensive days of PD with staff in holidays, ongoing support and having all the students start at once has created student driven learning. 5/9 @NZWaikato
  • 6. Communication and feedback greatly improving greatly. Students able to network with overseas students and classes. 6/9 @NZWaikato
  • 7. Students are engaged and publishing and working online. In six weeks we’ve had over four hundred posts and 20,000 page views of students work 7/9 @NZWaikato
  • 8. Students are driving the learning supporting each other and moving learning forward. Build a successful learning community from within. 8/9 @NZWaikato
  • 9. Further Developing Ideas for Collaboration: Quadblogging Aotearoa Global Blogging Challenge: Edublog Blogging Challenge Where to next: - Staff and students to reflect on this ongoing process - Using Tumblr, Twitter and Blogs to reflect on professional learning - Staff continuing to develop and build skills and share - Continue to collaborate and build on the success we’ve already had For Further Information: Auroa.school.nz mrwebbauroa.blogspot.co.nz Page 9/9 @NZWaikato
