Is the first sentence indented?7. Is there ONE paragraph?8. Is there a subtitle for the bibliography?9. Has the MLA format been used?10.Is the second and subsequent lines indented?

Checking in Detail• Open the online source and have it open next to the paragraph• Read both• Identify plagiarized parts and highlight in red• Check for background information (see notebook/whiteboard)• Highlight in green all relevant background information• Write a comment for missing information (if it is stated in the source)• Comment on the quality of the source

Let’s EDIT• In yellow, highlight transition words• Insert comment for suggested transition words• In blue, highlight verbs/verb phrases• Check that the tense is correct (past tense and some present tense)• Comment on tense usage• Change text color to purple of sentences that are not organized logically in the paragraph
