In selecting a Law of Attraction teacher be careful of those who are eager to share your troubles
and frustrations. Teachers who want to explore the roots of your afflictions and unhappiness are
not in alignment with who they really are. A qualified Law of Attraction teacher will have little or no
interest in where you have been but focus on where you wish to go. Moreover, a qualified teacher
will stand as a beacon drawing you to them. If instead they offer to come to where you stand it is
time to question their expertise as those in alignment with Source rarely have reason or motivation
to leave their creative vortex. Think of it like a lifeguard beckoning to a swimmer in trouble. First
they shout "swim toward me," then they throw a line to pull the swimmer to them. Only in the most
extreme circumstances do they leave solid ground and venture into the water. True teachers are
much the same; if they are solid in their knowing they will bring you to them.
What Qualifies You to Teach the Law of Attraction?
This may seem like an obvious question but it is an important one to ask and carefully listen to the
answer. Like many things in life, the more direct the answer, the better. If your prospective
teacher launches into a diatribe about their challenges, pain and suffering to learn the lessons of
the Law of Attraction, walk away. Why? Because such an answer exposes a person who is not in
alignment with Source and such a person is in no position to teach. An answer that would pass
the alignment test is a simple statement of knowing one's true self for only a teacher who has
found themselves can assist you.
Be Cautious of Teachers Who Offer Solutions
A teacher who is in alignment knows that you already have the answers, you just need to improve
your connection to Source to know them. Teachers who offer processes by which you can
discover your own truth are likely on the right path while those who say they have the answers and
will solve your problems for you should be avoided. If a teacher says they will come to where you
are and fix your alignment for you then they are not only in the water with you, they likely don't
even know how to swim!
Avoid Teachers with Complicated Programs
The Law of Attraction is very simple and straightforward. Teachers who offer complex multi-phase
programs are likely just trying to look like they have more to offer when in fact they likely have
less. There are only three steps to the Law of Attraction: ask, receive, allow...nothing more, no
ritual, no magic words, no initiation. Moreover, the receiving is automatic and instantaneous so
the only skills you actually need to hone are the asking and allowing! Simple? Yes. Easy?
Perhaps not.
2. Seek Teachers Who Live the Law of Attraction
As with any teacher you want to find one who demonstrates their mastery. If you wanted to play
the piano would you look for a teacher who plays the piano beautifully or one who doesn't know
how to play, they just teach? Remember that in selecting a teacher you want one that stands
where you want to be and will draw you to them. Don't be swayed by titles, certifications, or flash,
look for someone who is being what you want to be and knowing Source the way you want to
know Source.
Look Before you Quantum Leap
In today's Western world it seems everyone wants the quantum leap, they want to go from shame
to enlightenment in one massive, explosive transformation! My advice: don't. I spent 25 years
studying the teachings of a popular spiritual school. Every week I received a monograph of 4-6
pages. For the first several years I thought this pace was nonsense. Why so slow? Just give me
the answer! Then I started to see that everyone's answer is different and it was the seeking that
was training my vibration to the level where I could perceive my path, a step at a time. A
monograph a week for 25 years; that's 1,300 small, logical steps. Could it have been faster?
Sure, if I'd had a good teacher to add wisdom to my knowledge. But the point here is you need to
look for your next logical step and not try to take the whole journey in a single bound. The good
news is that since you are reading this you are likely already at the level of at least desire with a
life view of at least disappointment. If that statement made you angry then I've done my job as
anger is higher on the scale of enlightenment than desire! Next is pride, then courage. Once you
reach courage everything changes as courage is the tipping point where your primary life view
shifts from negative to positive. More about that in a future article!
