    • It faced mixed reviews but was praised for its hard sci-fi art style as well as drawing inspiration from WWII Nazi Germany.

  • 8. Why is it effective?
    • Adds realism and depth without personal attachment.
    • Plays on pre conceived ideas about how we view the world, which makes it easier for the player to understand the themes in the game.

    • Games like Call of duty and Medal of honour have a representational art style, being confined by a concrete historical subject, even if the story elements are fictional they still aim for gritty realism.
    • Killzone has the benefit of being completely fictional with a sci – fi setting and has more creative freedom over its design, it can use real world events as its influence but doesn’t need to be historically correct. It makes a completely fictional story seem far more real and helps to immerse the player in the game.
