    • Communications and stakeholder engagement - a major manufacturerOur client had started a major business transformation programme resulting in changes tocore administration and finance systems, outsourcing some functions and changing allinternal procedures.Maven was asked to develop a communications and stakeholder engagement programme toincrease support and buy-in for the changes taking place.We developed a comprehensive programme of workshops and formal training courses thatenabled individuals to understand the steps involved in making each change and to identifyhow they felt about the changes, and provided them with a toolset to undertake them. Thecommunication and stakeholder management programme was at three levels: • Leading the Change – for senior managers who will be expected to trigger and lead business transformation, equipping them with the structure to plan the change, communicate it successfully to their staff and motivate and persuade them through it • Managing the Change –for managers responsible for the implementation of the business transformation, equipping them with the structure and techniques of change management • Dealing with Change –for those impacted by change, making them aware of the structured process that has led to the change and equipping them with techniques that help them to participate as fully as possible in the successful implementation of changeParticipants develop personal action plans that specify how each individual will participate inthe business transformation and Maven is now working closely with the Change Teams toensure that personal action plans are being implemented and change activities are takingplace.This communication and stakeholder management programme is well progressed in theFinance department and Maven is about to undertake a Transformation MaturityAssessment exercise, using its Change Experience Checklist™ with Purchasing to continuethe roll-out.The client now has a targeted and focused training programme to address areas ofimmaturity.Copyright © Maven Training Ltd 2011www.maventraining.co.uk І 020 7089 6161
