  • 1. LastPass, strong passwords for the web http://savvygeektips.blogspot.com/2013/12/lastpass-strongpasswords-for-web.html
  • 2. Problem: protection of web accounts and password security • Too many passwords to remember • People often choose weak passwords, that are easy to break for a hacker • Every time you log in with a different device you need to manually enter your credentials to log in
  • 3. Solution: LastPass, password manager software • Add-on available for most browsers and mobile devices • Free and premium version (premium version is $12 per year) • It safely encrypts and protects your passwords storing them into your account on the company’s server (LastPass Vault).
  • 4. Solution: LastPass, password manager software • • • PROS It remembers all your credentials and logs you automatically in to your web accounts You can automatically fill in web forms You can access your accounts from anywhere simply installing the add-on
  • 5. Solution: LastPass, password manager software • PROS (it follows from previous slide) You can implement a better security level activating a two-step authentication
  • 6. Solution: LastPass, password manager software • • CONS It relies on a master password that can be always broken (it’s highly recommendable to activate a two-step authentication) For iPhone and Android there’s only a premium version, although its price is very competitive ($ 12 per year)
  • 7. Solution: LastPass, password manager software WRAP-UP • It’s a very reliable software • It’s worth giving it a go because its pros overwhelm its cons.
  • 8. Happy 2014! Happy 2014 to all my readers!
