3. Target AudienceTarget Audience
The mood board that I have created appeals to both our more
conventional target audience due to factors like age and social class
and also appeals to those who get attracted to the film due to a
particular selling point.
Our target audience is aimed at young males from London, preferably
between the ages of 17 and 25 who are able to relate to some of the
themes and characters that are portrayed in our film. They purchase
their clothes from places like Topman and Blu inc due to them not
wanting things that are too expensive for them or too cheap. They
would be happy to eat at cheaper fast food restaurants like chicken
cottage or McDonalds over the more expensive restaurant food and
enjoy tension building/explosive action films and thrillers. Added to that
they enjoy playing video games because of the at times gritty virtual
violence.
4. Target AudienceTarget Audience
In addition to that we want our film to also appeal to those who are fans of
Christopher Nolan due to him producing the film. By putting this in our Opening
sequence and the films trailer (If there was one) this would appeal to a wider
range of audiences increasing the amount of people who would want to see
our film. Added to that we want to appeal to Steven King fans due to our film
being a supposed adaptation of one of his novels. By putting this in our opening
and trailers this would in turn, through things like word of mouth, appeal to a
much larger audience including Steven King Fans rather than just the more
conventional stereotypical audience mentioned earlier.
