Researching similar topic of photographsI found the following images on the official Hyde Park Wonderland website:http://www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/galleryAs I will be going to take pictures in the same location I decided to look at theirprofessional photographs to get inspiration from.I picked the pictures that were taken during theday, as I will be doing the same. The imagesseem to focus on specific parts of theWonderland such as the Ferris wheel. I like thepicture on the left as it uses the light from thesun, which escapes from behind the tree andlooks very effective. The picture is interestingbecause it draws the eye in to the centre alongthe white curved fence. Bright yellow coloursare present which give a Christmas morningfeel to theimage. The image onthe right istaken as apart of theFerris wheeland looks interesting with the white colouragainst the blue sky. Also, the tree branchesgive the image a texture and add more detail. The image to the left a long shot thatshows a large part of theWonderland. The clear blue skymakes the white Ferris wheel standout and look very large. Also, thedifferent colours in the foregroundof the Wonderland are capturednicely, with the Christmas red andblue. The picture on the right is a more of anobject shot showing the main focus in themiddle of the frame. The white colour onthe roof makes it look like snow and givesthe image a Christmas feeling with thedesign elements on the main focus.
This image shows nearlywhole of the Ferris wheel. The angle at which thepicture was taken makes thewheel look three dimensionaland effective. The light of thesun shines nicely off thewhite metal from the Ferriswheel to achieve the effect. After looking at these pictures my plan is to take pictures of specificobjects/elements in the Wonderland to showcase them. Also, these picturesdon’t show many people, I will try to take pictures of how many people visit theplace with the attractions in the background.
