MatissRakstins“Showing London During ChristmasThrough Photography”Date of Photoshoot: 15/12/12I will be photographing in three different locations that will be:Hyde Park WonderlandLondon EyePiccadilly CircusI will take pictures in these locations to show London during Christmas. My aimis to focus on two parts of the Photoshoot. One of them will be in the Wonderlandwhere I will take pictures of the crowd and the festive mood, and the other willbe of the buildings, which will include long shots. On the day I will wake up early so I can catch the train leaving Cambridge at 9amon the Saturday. It should take about an hour for the train to get to London so Ishould be in London King’s Cross at around 10am. From King’s Cross I will getthe Underground to Hyde Park corner which should take about 15-20 minuteson the Piccadilly line. After taking some pictures for about an hour I will take thePiccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus and get off there, which should take about 10minutes. At around lunch-time after taking a few snaps at Piccadilly I will takethe Bakerloo line to Embankment, which should take around 10 minutes. I willget off and walk to the London Eye and go to ride inside it. This should take anhour more as it will be busy with tourists as it will be a Saturday. I should befinishing the Photoshoot at 1:30pm. Which leaves me enough time to get back toKing’s Cross for 2pm train to Cambridge. These times should be roughly correct, but I might get home later as I will be likely to having lunch at the PicadillyCircus or London Eye. Here’s the map of the London Underground and mydestinations:
I will be considering hazards that I would need to be aware of and stay safe allthe time. As I will be in a very crowded area of people and with my friend, I willhave to make sure I have my phone with me in case we loose each other. Also, Iwill have to be aware of thief’s who might want to steal my camera, phone orwallet, which is why I will keep my belongings close to myself. I will also be nextto water and as it’s summer if I fell into the water it would not end well. So, Ihave to be aware of these dangers when taking pictures, and be aware of mysurroundings. It’s good that I have someone else coming with me as he will beable to spot these hazards in case I don’t. I will also shoot next to roads with busytraffic flowing through. I will have to be extra cautious not to walk on the roadwhilst taking pictures and just be overall aware of what happening around. Athing I will do to eliminate risks of getting lost etc. I will inform my parents that Iwill be going and let them know at what times I will be in certain locations. I willalso not shoot extreme close-ups of people’s faces as using the images willrequire permission, instead I will be shooting mostly long camera shots.
