4. 4. What easy was it to find the Keppler's own website? How did it rank in Google search results?
When typing “Hotel Keppler” in Google, the hotel is ranked 1st
we get the same result when typing:
“Keppler”
“Keppler Hotel”
Neither competitor hotel nor third party site are ahead in search result
5. 5. How easy was the Keppler site to use: decision information
Access to important information is easy
Home page is clear
3 toolbars
1 for language
2 for facilities and offers
6. 6. How easy was the Keppler site to use: Guestroomdetails
Access to room presentation is easy thanks to the vertical toolbar
However, there are no real details about each category
Only, some pictures of different rooms
7. 7. How easy was the Keppler site to use: facilities
Still direct access to information
Only a short presentation, no enough details
But always many pictures
8. 8. How easy was the Keppler site to use: Location
Easy to locate the hotel thanks to:
A clear map
Precise information
Every type of means of transportation is clearly described
9. 9. How easy was the Keppler site to use: pricing
As usual, information is clear and easy to access
No flourish, only the essential
10. 10. How easy was the Keppler site to use: pricing
No pricing page on the website
When clicking on “offer”, you are sent to another site: ihotelier.com
Interface very simple to use:
Chose date
Chose type of room
Pay
11. 11. Click through to the booking engine: which one?
They have chosen the solution by ihotelier.com
A simple 3 step booking process:
Chose dates
Chose type of room
Pay
Interface simple and efficient
12. 12. PERSHING HALL
Paris, 75008
13. 13. What easy was it to find the Pershing Hall's own website? How did it rank in Google search results?
14. 14. What easy was it to find the Pershing Hall's own website? How did it rank in Google search results?
When typing “Pershing Hall” in Google, the hotel is ranked 1st
Neither competitor hotel nor third party site are ahead in search result
15. 15. How easy was the Keppler site to use: decision information
The home page with all information is simple
But the font is too small and it’s difficult to read
Moreover you need to scroll if you want to get more info about the hotel, its spirit, its essence
16. 16. How easy was the Keppler site to use: guestroomdetails
Information is easy to access but easy to read: font too small
Need to scroll to get room description: not good idea
But nice pictures to compensate lack of readability
Long description with details
17. 17. How easy was the Keppler site to use: location
Absolutely not easy to get location information: you find it in the “contact” section
Really poor map quality
It open in a new window: not practical at all
18. 18. How easy was the Keppler site to use: pricing
No pricing section on the website itself
It’s weird, unusual and for me not a very good idea
The only visible prices are in the “special offer” section
19. 19. Click through to the booking engine: which one?
They have chosen the solution by myfidelio.net
Interface looks really cheap, do not match standards of the hotel
But it’s complete and easy to book
20. 20. Which hotel is doing a better direct sell effort?
For me, the Keppler is doing the best job in direct selling
Their website is cleared
And complies better with the luxury image of the hotel even if they can improve it
They have a pricing section on the website itself
Ihotelier.com’s interface is easier to read and looks better
