individual student and to our society. This

which are in great demand. Students who
become employed in early care fields are
important to our society for they teach
today’s children who become tomorrow's
adults.
3. Early Care & Education Employment Outlook
Job opportunities in early care will continue to be plentiful
through the next decade. Turnover is relatively high in this
field, as many caregivers open their own cild care services
after gaining experience or transfer to related professions. This
work is sensitive to slow downs in the economy, since
unemployed parents are either at home to attend to their
children, or cannot afford professional services. Jobs for
caregivers are located throughout the nation, with the highest
concentration of available positions to be found in heavily
populated areas. Experienced caregivers are in high demand.
