Finding or conclusions in this study are: -Some companies like Shandong Dacheng, Shandong Huayang, Jiangsu Yangnong, Hebei Veyong, etc. are lack of long-term plan, and they have not any expansion plans in the coming few years. -The exports of some companies such as Shandong Rainbow, Jiangsu Huifeng, Jiangsu Lanfeng, especially Anhui Huaxing, etc. are shrinking in 2010, and they have intensified the efforts on developing domestic market. Some companies like Nanjing Redsun, Jiangsu Yangnong, etc. witnessed stable growth of export business. Some other companies, such as Zhejiang Yongnong, Sichuan Fuhua Agrochemical, Hebei Veyong, etc., record significant export increase in 2010, indicating that the international conditions have become more propitious for Chinas pesticide export. -Companies such as Jiangsu Yangnong, Jiangsu Kwin, Lier Chemical, Shandong Lvba, etc. have seen decrease in profitability. Anhui Huaxing experiences the first loss since its getting listed. Shandong Dacheng and Shandong Binnong post dissatisfactory profitability with only XX% in 2009 and they see XX% and XX% deficit respectively in 2010.

However, some pesticide companies have seen significant increase insales revenue in 2010, such as Zhejiang Yongnong and Sichuan FuhuaAgrochemical etc. Sales revenue of Sichuan Fuhua Agrochemicaleven doubled in 2010.-To survive in the intense market competition, some companies have taken measures to adjust product and main business structure. For example, Lianhe Technology with intermediates of pesticide and chemicals as its main business began to produce downstream pesticide products in 2010; in addition, Fujian Sannong transformed its main business into pesticide and real estate in 2010.-Many companies have the problem of single product mix, such as Sichuan Fuhua Agrochemical, Jiangsu Good-harvest Weien, Shandong Binnong, etc., posting disadvantage in the future market competition. Sichuan Fuhua Agrochemical depends too much on glyphosate business as glyphosate is the only pesticide product. As for Jiangsu Good-harvest Weien, there is only herbicide business. Qianjiang Biochemical’s inefficient ability caused by single product mix, high reliance on coal, grain food and weak innovation capability, have undermined its profitability.
