  • Everyone agrees that the Board should have a role in fundraising. Where there is great diversity of opinion is What should that role be? And should it be a requirement?There are volunteers, donors and board members. What’s the difference?Volunteers give generously of their time and talents and many nonprofits could not exist without them.Donors give money generously – nonprofits need them too.Board members give both of these and more. There is the phrase used “Give, Get or get off.”
