The Globe Theatre  It is situated on the south bank of the River Thames. The Globe Theatre was associated to W.Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 using timber from an earlier theatre, The Theatre. It was built by Shakespeare’s group of actors – the Lord Chamberlains Men. On 29 June 1613 the Globe Theatre went up in flames during a performance of Henry VIII.
  3. 3. The Shakespeare’s Globe  Shakespeares Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre. It was rebuilt in 1614, and then demolished in 1644. The modern theatre is located on Bankside, about 230 metres from the original site.
  4. 4. William Shakespeare  Born. April 26 1564 ( exact birth date unknown). Died April 23 1616. Poet, actor and playwright. Married to Anne Hathaway, 3 children.
