  • 2. Comparativea) short words (one or two syllables):•we add –er + than.e.g.:•He is taller than me.•My car is cheaper than your car.
  • 3. b) adjective ending in vowel + consonant•we double the consonant and add -ere.g.: big - bigger hot - hotter thin - thinner fat - fatterc) adjective ending in –y:•we change y–i and add –er happy - happier funny - funnier easy - easier ugly - uglier
  • 4. d) long words (three or more syllables):• we add : more + adjective + thane.g.: Maria is more beautiful (adj) than Jennifer. This book is more interesting than that book.OBS! Irregular Adjectives change their form:
  • 5. Superlativea) short words (one syllable):• we add the + adjective + –est e.g. :• The red car is the fastest in the group.• My brother is the smartest from the family.
