  2. 2. Dream Interpretation.• Lets analyze the following dreamfrom the bible.• First we will read it from the Bible.• Them we’ll pay attention to thesymbols and key words.• Review the scripture, comparingsymbols and key words
  3. 3. The dream of the Midianite
  4. 4. Sharing the dream• Judges 7:13 (NKJV)• 13 And when Gideon had come, therewas a man telling a dream to hiscompanion. He said, “I have had adream: To my surprise, a loaf of barleybread tumbled into the camp of Midian;it came to a tent and struck it so that itfell and overturned, and the tentcollapsed.”

  6. 6. Key Words:• I have had a dream (a Midianite)– A vivid dream• To my surprise (emotion)– Out of nowhere• Tumbled (action that cause surprise)– a sudden downfall• Tent Collapsed (result of the impact)– Enemy defeated.
  7. 7. The Interpretation• Judges 7:14 (NKJV)14 Then his companion answered andsaid, “This is nothing else but thesword of Gideon the son of Joash, aman of Israel! Into his hand God hasdelivered Midian and the wholecamp.”
  8. 8. A loaf of barley was thefood of the poor.In this case representsGideon and the Israelites.They were despised.
  9. 9. Jesus, The Bread of Life• John 6:35 (NKJV)• 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am thebread of life. He who comes to Meshall never hunger, and he whobelieves in Me shall never thirst.
  10. 10. The Tent• Represented the authority of theGenerals, the place where they dotheir plans to go riding against theIsraelites.• The plans were overturned, theykilled between themselves, and thewhole camp was devastated.
  11. 11. Judges 7:15 (NKJV)• 15 And so it was, when Gideon heardthe telling of the dream and itsinterpretation, that he worshiped. Hereturned to the camp of Israel, andsaid, “Arise, for the LORD hasdelivered the camp of Midian intoyour hand.”
  12. 12. Gideon’s reaction• First thing Gideon does after hearingthe dream and its interpretation is toworship God.• Then he returns to the camp.• Addresses the Israelites to get readyto attack the enemy’s camp.
  13. 13. Conclusion• Gideon never questioned the dreaminterpretation.• As The lord had said, his hands werestrengthened.• He transfers confidence to hispeople.• He’s ready to attend the mandate theLord gave to him.
