    2. Throughout the year,
      The Hague brims over with events, the highlight of which is the month of June, during which the popular festival period of The Hague takes place:

    3. Is more than just the slogan of The Hague Festivals 2009,
      it is the idea that we are free,
      free to celebrate peace.
      The Hague, as the international city of Peace and Justice, will celebrate by joining together the most diverse of activities, events and concerts for a full three weeks.
      Feel free to celebrate!
    4. in cooperation with the Municipality of The Hague,
      the World Sand Sculpting Academy WSSA/Sand Academy is organising the construction of a Sand Sculpture on the Buitenhof.
      As part of The Hague Festivals 2009
    5. The large sculpture on the Buitenhof will be a compilation of the sculptures of
      Gustav Vigeland,
      where in the most dignified manner, the lifecycle of the human being is represented, from cradle to grave.
      “Man's journey from cradle to grave, through happiness and grief, through fantasy, hope and wishes of eternity”.
      Gustav Vigeland
      Love and passion for life by the Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1869 - 1943) masterly display in the park named after him in Oslo.
