The Social Media Wars... an excerpt from the front line (Day 137) - Presentation Transcript

    1. Social Media War... and excerpt from the front line (Day 137) The Social Media War... and excerpt from the front line (Day 190) | Total enlisted 130,885 | Total KIA 1032 Recruitment Update: Recruitment has been difficult this past month, and the numbers of enlisted has been dropping. This could be due to the ongoing nature of the Social Media War. Ground has been one and lost, and then taken back. The Marketing and Acquisition budget has taken a drop due to policy changes. The Commander says we can expect the same for some while. An excerpt from the front lines follows... A chance meeting of the dialogue between a Sergeant and Private returning from the front... Sergeant: \"How goes the Social Media War soldier?\" Private: \"I've just come back from the front, and I don't know why they call it the Campaign to End All Traffic Problems?\" This campaign is ongoing and the dead are buried faster than we can recruit more. I lost 2 good friends to other networks today. Jesus!\" Sergeant: \"We're getting hit hard by automated bots and Nigerian troops implementing SPAM tactics. You know what to do Private; we've trained you to resist the enemies’ methods. Just dig in and keep to our plans.\" Private: \"The engineers came by our camp today and are closing the gaps in our defensives. We should hit them first like in the old days. Go medieval on 'em!\" Sergeant: \"That's the spirit lad, get some chow, and I want you back at first light 0400 hours. We're going back out on a reconnaissance mission early morning. Make sure you get your Kit straightened away and sleep - we need you sharp and frosty.\" Commander: (to himself) \"Dang, moral is low and we're running out of resources. This War is more expensive than the Politicians expected. The enemy is adapting and so must we. I've also just accepted another command, and leave this week. We'll hold our colours high while marching into battle - onefaceone.com, prettydirtyfriends.com and trailerparkfriends.com to glory\" ... Will our new friends make it alive to see another campaign?
