• White flowers in long racemes
• Fruit dark purple, sour

• Found throughout basin and Eastern Oregon
in variety of habitats
• Canyons, forests, riparian zones, residential
areas, roadways
• Good browse for deer and elk, berries
provide food for many birds
• Fruit is used in jelly and wine
