  • 2. Objective of I.S.R.O The Indian Space Research Organisation is the primary spaceagency of the Indian government. ISRO is amongst the six largestgovernment space agencies in the world, along with USAsNASA, Russias RKA, Europes ESA, Chinas CNSA and Japans JAXA. Itsprimary objective is to advance space technology and use itsapplications for national benefit. The main motto of indian space research organisation is Spacetechnology in the service of human kind. Indias economic progress has made its space program more visible andactive as the country aims for greater self-reliance in space technology.

  • 5. Abdul kalam for I.S.R.O•Before his term as President, he worked as anaerospace engineer with Defence Research andDevelopment Organisation(DRDO) and IndianSpace Research Organisation (ISRO). Kalam ispopularly known as the Missile Man of India forhis work on the development of ballistic missileand launch vehicle technology•Kalam a man with no authority over nuclearphysics but who just carried on the works ofHomi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai.
  • 6. THE CHAIRMAN OF I.S.R.O. 2013K. Radhakrishnan (born 29 August 1949) is an Indianscientist and the Chairman of Indian Space ResearchOrganisation (ISRO). He also served as the director ofVikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC),Thiruvananthapuram. He was born in Kerala, India).Radhakrishnan took charge as the Chairman of theIndian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on 31October 2009. He succeeds Dr. G. Madhavan Nair whoretired at the end of October, 2009
